In June 2015, we successfully completed our pilot program for individuals who are visually impaired or blind. This program was made possible through a generous grant from the Miami Foundation.

Film Screening – Riding My Way Back
On Thursday, November 13 Whispering Manes will be hosting a screening of the short documentary, RIDING MY WAY BACK, which chronicles one soldier’s journey back from the brink of suicide.
Eagle Scout Project
Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable by a Boy Scout. On June 14th, 2014, Gianni LaVecchia of Troop 599 in the Hurricane District took the last step in attaining Eagle Scout rank when the troop delivered two mounting steps, four benches and a tic, tac, toe, sensory board to Whispering Manes. All the items were planned, built and constructed under Gianni’s leadership.

Special Olympics Florida – Area 11 Equestrian Games
On March 1, 2014 we proudly hosted the Special Olympics Florida – Area 11 Equestrian Games. This marked the first time in 12 years that the Special Olympics Florida Equestrian Games were held in Miami-Dade.
